Poems by Lydia age 7

Dear Jesus, look after me as I go through life;
And lead as I try to get to Heaven, cause I am seven --
years old.
In my life I panic- sorrow for all my sins;
As I play fair, as I share-
all my needs and wins.
Life is possible for a girl or boy
as I praise and shout for joy!
I love you Jesus,
I love you Lord,
I love you,
and I'm not ignored.
I couldn't have a better God than You-
If I did, I'de wonder who?
God made the earth,
God made me,
God made the clouds and sky,
God set me free!

BODY PARTS:
We can walk and we can talk.
Every one knows that.
But the thing
that makes us do a lot,
that is our soul.
Our soul makes us walk,
talk, see, hear,
and feel.
Our soul makes us do a lot of things,
like run and move.
Sometimes you can feel a piece of paper.
Our heart makes us love,
but we can also feel it beat
when we run.
It is one thing a docter
really needs to feel
with a stethoscope.

POEMS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS:
They put me in a wheelbarrow
and rolled me down the hill;
they showed me to a Pharoah
and did not kill;
Ahoh, ho and not oh no,
don't kill me so
cause I do know
how to eat a doe.

A SILLY POEM:
Jane is a girl
who walked with a cane-
She was old and rode
down the lane;
Oh yes that old lady
named Jane
woke up in the sunny light,
and woke up
and she flew a kite.
She loves me and I love her;
Wonder what the cane is for?
She can walk,
she can talk,
and she can run.
She can knock on people's door-
thats what old ladies are for.
